Meet DJ Heisenberg!

​Hi! My name is Denis Billen, and during the day I am a chemist... I cook drugs for a living!  Just like Heisenberg in the epic show Breaking Bad...! When I'm not in a lab, you will find me behind my DJ controller, rocking dancefloors all over the Chicago area, as DJ Heisenberg!

I have been DJing gigs and weddings for over 20 years, first in Europe (I speak fluent French!) and for the past 15 years, here in the USA. I started DJing in clubs in Europe, using classic turntables and vinyl records, which means that I love mixing on the fly during the events that I DJ. My favorite style is called "quick mixing". Quick mixing is a DJ technique that involves mixing songs quickly, rather than playing the entire song or mixing slowly (or what I often call "Spotify mixing"). It's often used in dance sets to increase energy and keep the crowd always engaged, no matter their age! What it also means is that my dancefloors never get boring, there is something for all your guests, and spreads through generations of good music, all mixed into one giant "megamix" party, just for you and your guests.

We will work together to create the perfect music vibe throughout the evening! It starts with you, creating your own personalized online playlists, and after sharing these with me, I will blend your songs together with my own curated playlists, while also sprinkling all your guests requests on the fly, throughout the evening, at just the right moment. It always works wonderfully and that is how I build giant dancefloors, packed all night, playing all your favorite songs and make YOUR wedding or event absolutely unique!
